Two of the largest online poker corporations out there are merging in a TV deal very soon in what is projected to be a very popular gamble. The incredibly successful online poker room Fulltiltpoker has recently stated that they will be collaborating with World Poker Tour for the upcoming W.P.T. season. FullTiltPoker.com will be the primary supporter of the World WPT’s TV season, and the poker website is on tap to be presented in every single one of the installments which are seen on F.S.N.. Fulltiltpoker will gain all the control of the instructive segments of the shows.

Particulars of this contract have not been made known so far, but the union will definitely be a great achievement. This agreement will combine two tremendously strong Texas Hold’em poker names. World Poker Tour which is a well-known brand on television through Fox Sports Net and Fulltiltpoker which has a massive Texas Hold’em poker set of fans, as well as a Texas Hold’em poker team including players who have accumulated a total of 10 World Poker Tour trophies and thirty-five World Series of Poker bracelets. Full Tilt also funds many other Texas Hold’em poker players and now the Texas Hold’em webpage has begun presenting Texas Hold’em poker instruction as well.

This merger is guaranteed to lure a fresh following and is assured to fill the fresh distinction which poker is causing. This union denotes W.P.T.E.’s forfeit of the Texas Hold’em room business as World Poker Tour will more than likely end their online poker website World Poker Tour Enterprises online. The pay site ClubWPT.com will more than likely remain open.

Democrats Pushing for Legalization of Online Poker

Posted under online poker & poker & poker event & poker laws

Shortly after the beginning of last week’s charity poker event to support the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Ben Affleck goes all-in with a flop of Ace-Nine-King and two diamonds. He winces when two of his opponents call the bet. He yells “Re-buy”, but the turn is a seven of hearts. Affleck is disappointed when a jack of diamonds is dealt on the river. He took the hand seriously even though there was no real cash at stake. This is just the kind of thing that Affleck and several other poker enthusiasts are lobbying for.

Over $100,000 was raised for the paralyzed victims, but this was not the only purpose of the poker game held in Coors Field. Members of the Poker Players Alliance are working very hard to legalize online poker in the United States. As part of their agenda, they are pushing to repeal the 2006 legislation Congress passed which bans U.S. Banks and credit card companies from processing transactions related to internet gaming websites.

John Pappas, executive director of the Poker Players Alliance, is optimistic about the direction that the new congress will lead this decision. Pappas says that the alliance is pushing for a licensed industry, just for online poker, and not for all internet gaming. Pappas is interested in having a safe, regulated industry that all Americans can enjoy. The group is fighting for the rights of people and the privacy they deserve in their own home.

“There are misconceptions about poker and about internet poker,” poker pro Andy Bloch said in between hands during the charity celebrity poker event. “Some people think that internet poker is gambling like a slot machine, and it’s not.”
